Hello! I am the new intern at Meg Smith and Associates!
What is an intern you ask? It is a learning experience and serves as a link from the classroom to the workplace. It is a way to gain real-world, on-the-job skills in your field while you're still a student. Internships are a valuable addition to your resume. It is generally believed that internships contribute to career development by providing interns with the chance to explore different careers. Also, contacts made during internship experiences can be valuable for networking into a "real" job.
I will be learning as much about real estate as I can. Join me in the coming weeks to read all about what I am learning.

I am 24 and the proud parent to a fur baby named Chance. He is what I like to call a Heinz 57 dog mix. (A complete mix; containing parts of many different origins.) I currently work at Our Lady of Consolation Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center as a Housekeeper. (Pays the bills)
When not at work, I am pursuing my education. I am a senior majoring in Professional Communications at SUNY Farmingdale. I am on the Campus Activities Board (CAB) and our purpose is to plan and execute a variety of multi-cultural, social and recreational programs for the students of Farmingdale State College on and off campus.
Ten Random Facts About Me:
1. I am graduating college in December 2012. End of the world? Go Rams!
2. Halloween is by FAR, my favorite holiday.
3. I recently lost a lot of weight (25lbs and 12 inches).
4. I cannot cook anything without setting off my smoke alarm.
5. I love ANYTHING Michael Kors. (hint, hint)
6. Dunkin over Starbucks in the Spring/Summer, Starbucks over Dunkin in the Fall/Winter.
7. I am border line obsessed with my dog and would bring him everywhere with me if it were socially acceptable.
8. My toe nails will always be polished red. (Don’t ask, I don’t know why)
9. One of my favorite activities is sitting on the porch with my friends and my dog. (We call it neighborhood watch)
10. I had ten jobs the last ten years and know exactly what I DON’T want to do, but yet to know what I do want to do.
